Position Summary:

Prairie State College seeks an experienced adjunct instructor to teach Adult Education/Adult Secondary math classes for Spring 2024 semester. Successful candidates will have the ability to address a variety of math concepts for adult learners.Spring Semester Session I is January 29, 2024—April 25, 2024. Session II runs from February 20, 2024 to May 16, 2024.Classes meet Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.This position is for on-campus teaching in the Adult Training and Outreach Center on the PSC campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Math or related field● Experience teaching adult learners● Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning● Online teaching experience● Excellent writing and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. in Mathematics or related field
  • Experience teaching in an Adult Education program
  • ICCB Standards Proficient Training credential
  • Online teaching certification
