The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures is accepting applications for a full-time professional-track faculty position in French/Portuguese Language beginning August 16, 2022 at a 9-month salary of $43,500. This is a 9-month non-tenure track appointment, renewable based on Dean’s approval, satisfactory performance, departmental needs, and the availability of funding.Required Education and Experience:
Duties: Teach four courses per semester, including Business French and Portuguese language; prepare course syllabi and handouts; evaluate and grade student course work, assignments and papers; maintain required records including student attendance and grades; maintain regularly scheduled office hours to assist students; participate in program and departmental meetings and activities, including program building. Course releases may be given to serve as the short-term study abroad liaison for the College of Arts and Sciences and Darla Moore School of Business and serve as strategic coordinator for student study in Latin America.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in French, Portuguese, or related field is required and must be in hand by August 1, 2022. Evidence of successful teaching experience at the collegiate level and native or near-native fluency in French, Portuguese, and English is expected.Preferred Qualifications:
