The School of Information Science (iSchool) at the University of South Carolina (UofSC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 16, 2023. Successful candidates will be expected to expand on one or more of the following areas in Data Science:
- Applied Data and Text Mining
- Applied AI and Machine Learning (ML)
- Critical Data Studies
- User Experience, Information Architecture
- Web and Mobile Application Development
- Social Network Analysis
The School of Information Science
- Participate in instruction, research, publication, grant writing, and other scholarly activities
- Teach and develop courses in both face-to-face and online environments at undergraduate (BS in Information Science) and graduate students.
- Mentor students for independent studies and doctoral dissertations
- Provide service to the department, college, university, profession, and community

The College of Information and Communications is home to two nationally recognized schools, the School of Journalism and Mass Communications and the School of Information Science.
