Job SummaryPerform technical and other duties in support of assigned university functions, which may include performing accounting, admissions, budget, laboratory/program instruction, coaching, medical care, and other functions as assigned. The incumbent in this position is a temporary employee.
ResponsibilitiesTypical Allocation of Duties
Perform technical duties - 50%
Perform clerical and other related duties, including communications, event support, office support, customer service, and other duties as assigned.
Coordinate activities with other stakeholders - 20%
Coordinate work with a variety of stakeholders, including university faculty and staff, department heads and/or supervisors, students, representatives of other institutions, a variety of professionals, etc.
Achieve goals - 20%
Work to achieve established goals and/or products, including reports, budgets, desired learning outcomes, program success, etc.
Compliance - 10%
Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Supervisor Expectations
·Case Coordinator is in the Health Promotions & Wellness office & is supervised by Health Promotions & Wellness Manager.
·Conduct initial intake meetings with students to assess needs for appropriate referrals.
·Provides goal-oriented and strengths-based assessment, intervention, and coordination of services to students that have or are experiencing physical, emotional, academic, and/or psychological difficulties.
·Case Coordinator will keep detailed records of interactions with students.
·Coordination and outreach of support service/resources located on and off-campus, including referral and connection with housing agencies, social services, mental health services, financial support agencies, food services, and other basic needs resources for students.
·Case Coordinator will market the office's services to the VSU community in various means that is determined by Case Coordinator & Supervisor.
·Case Coordinator will be a part of the Behavioral Intervention Teams as well as other committees that are pertinent to the position.
·Work schedule will need to be set around when students are most available to meet. This excludes nights & weekends.

Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of related work experience.

Position Requires completion of VSU's Annual Compliance Training course (such as State Business Transactions, Drug Free Workplace, Anti-Harassment Policy, Introduction to Information Security, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Policy, USG Ethics Policy, Conflict of Interest/ Outside Activities Policy, Leave Procedures for Faculty and Staff, Georgia Open Records Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and Contracts 101. Supervisory positions require training in FMLA and Worker's Compensation.
