Associate Dean - 128500 Usha Kundu, MD College of Health
The Usha Kundu, MD College of Health at the University of West Florida invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Associate/Full Professor (tenure track or clinical) to serve as the Associate Dean of the College. The position is primarily an administrative appointment with the possibility of occasional instruction within an area of expertise.
The Associate Dean will work directly with academic Departments and Programs on accreditation efforts. Additional roles and responsibilities include: mentoring department chairs and faculty, assisting Department chairs with recruitment efforts, facilitating conversation with healthcare organizations related to student placement, assisting with strategic planning and assessment, representing the College at events or meetings as needed, other duties assigned by the Dean.
- Earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree from an accredited institution in one of the disciplines reflected in the College. A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful and progressive experience in higher education, including both administrative leadership (e.g., program director, department chair, associate dean) and full-time teaching.
- Terminal degree in a nursing specific discipline Experience as a faculty member in a nursing education program Experience working with healthcare systems on clinical student placement. Experience working with program accreditation A record of accomplishments in the area of teaching, research and service in a University setting. For tenured appointment, a portfolio of scholarly work sufficient to warrant appointment with tenure in a discipline reflected in the College.
Salary is commensurate with degree and experience.
