The Department of Information Science Technology at the University of Houston (UH) is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity programs to begin in Fall 2024. We seek a colleague who can contribute to the success and growth of our applied research-oriented program and must demonstrate an outstanding scholarly record of research, exhibited by high-impact peer-reviewed publications and a forward-looking research agenda that will secure competitive external funding. We welcome applicants with a diversity of research interests that complement those of our current faculty members, foster collaboration, and are relevant to Computer Information Systems and/or applied Cybersecurity. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates should have experience teaching in both face-to-face and 100% online formats at undergraduate and graduate levels. Ideally, candidates will have a demonstrable record of incorporating applied/hands-on learning experiences into their courses. Candidates will demonstrate openness to innovative instructional strategies, a willingness for continuous professional development, and a continuous improvement plan to stay abreast of industry needs in curriculum design and delivery.
