The candidate will help maintain smooth operation of laboratory functions, including ordering, ensuring regulatory compliance (IACUC, EHS, USDA, etc.), arranging equipment repair, interaction with sales representatives, management of the mouse colony, orientation of new personnel, advising junior lab members in laboratory procedures, and fostering a team spirit among all lab personnel. In addition, the candidate will perform experiments for publication. By being employed in the laboratory of the Dept. Chair (Dr. Harris), the candidate will also assist with several key departmental functions by interacting with other PIs, and with Facilities, to arrange for building renovations and repairs, and ordering of departmental equipment.
Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience.
