The Microarray and Sequencing Resource at Boston University School of Medicine seeks a research technician. The Resource is an active core facility that performs microarray-based and next generation sequencing experiments for a large number of research groups at Boston University and other institutions. The responsibilities will include RNA/DNA sample processing and data acquisition for gene expression, genotyping and sequencing analysis and routine maintenance of the Core equipment. The successful candidate will be a highly responsible individual with great attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and working independently, precisely following molecular biology protocols and processing large number of samples. Previous laboratory experience and familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques are required. Previous experience with microarray or next generation sequencing technology and Linux is not required, but helpful. A BA or BS in biology, biochemistry or other life science discipline and basic computer skills are required.
