Responsibilities
    Assemble and operate laboratory apparatus and equipment

    Assist with the maintenance of laboratory equipment and the overall organization of the lab

    Maintain lab fly stocks

    Perform fly genetics related experiments

    Perform molecular cloning experiments (PCR, DNA isolation, vector construction)

    Records and evaluates data
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field

Previous relevant experience is preferred but not required

Other Information The Miao lab in department of biological science is looking for a junior level full-time Laboratory Assistant to join our team who will play a critical role in managing the lab, maintaining lab fly stock and performing experiments for multiple projects.

Successful applicants should be highly motivated, well organized, and technically capable. In addition, as a significant amount of on-the-job training will be provided, the applicant should demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Anticipated Salary Range

The hourly pay rate for this position is $15 - $20, based on the applicant's experience.
