Job Details
The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership, student instruction on a part-time basis in the Industrial Design program.
QualificationsEducation:
-Bachelor’s Degree in industrial design, mechanical engineering, architecture, or related discipline. (Minimum)
-Master’s degree in relevant discipline. (Desired)
-Coursework in or experience using computers in instruction. (Desired)
Experience:
-Employment experience in the industrial design area. (Strongly Desired)
-Successful teaching experience, preferably at the college level. (Strongly Desired)
-Experience with charcoal and clay rendering as well as PC-based Rhino and Photoshop software. (Desired)
Abilities and Skills:
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. (Minimum)
-Developed organizational skills. (Minimum)
Responsibilities
-Instruct and evaluate students in one or more of the following industrial design courses: Introduction to industrial design, History of industrial design, Engineering and Sustainability principles, Ergonomics and Kinesiology, computer applications for industrial design, and industrial design applications. (Essential)
-Maintain accurate written records of student performance. (Essential)
-Complete official rosters and return to School office as required. (Essential)
-Attend School meetings as requested. (Essential)
-Maintain office hours according to contractual Issues. (Essential)

Pay TransparencyThe part-time rate for 2023/24 will be the greater of $1140 per credit or $760 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $47.50 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.College StatementThis is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
