Job Description Summary
The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School is one of the nation's oldest and most distinguished law schools. The IT Support Specialist will consult with and provide technical expertise, support and training for faculty, staff, and students.

Job Description

Duties may include:
  • Staff IT Help Center and respond to telephone, chat, email and in-person requests for computing and networking support.
  • Support MS Office 365 applications and provide user training.
  • Onboard staff/provide orientations.
  • Write help documentation.
  • Assist instructors with use of classroom presentation equipment.
  • Provide technical support for video conferencing.
  • Assist with editing audio and video class recordings.
  • Build and deploy Dell and Mac systems.
  • Maintain network print/copy/scan stations.
  • Maintain media systems and equipment in classrooms and event spaces.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining room technology infrastructure.
  • Manage loaners/rental of specialized equipment.
  • Escalate problems to managers as appropriate.


Desired Skills:

  • Experienced IT Technician.

  • Bachelor degree with major in computing or digital media preferred

  • Advanced understanding of MS Office 365 including One Drive, SharePoint, Teams.

  • Proficient in Window, Mac/iOS, and Android OS.

  • Expertise in Office 365 Outlook and Excel.

  • A/V and networking technical knowledge.

  • Exceptional customer service and problem solving.

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

  • Able to troubleshoot large multifunction printers.

  • Able to troubleshoot WiFi connectivity issues.

  • Able to figure out underlying issues, gather necessary information and escalate when appropriate.

  • Dependable; Initiative.

    Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
