Job Summary
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder (http://www.colorado.edu/psych-neuro/) invites applications for a full-time Neuroscience instructor to begin spring or fall 2024. The Department has a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education. We seek an individual who has experience in teaching and a passion for education at the undergraduate level, who will also help the department achieve its educational mission more broadly. This position includes teaching 4 courses each semester (or equivalent load) and departmental service that includes active engagement in pedagogical initiatives within the department and across campus. The ideal candidate will be prepared to teach a variety of Neuroscience courses. Applicants should have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related-discipline.

Who We Are

The Neuroscience degree is biology-based and currently has ~650 majors. The department also offers doctoral graduate programs in 5 specialty areas (Behavioral Neuroscience; Behavioral, Psychiatric, and Statistical Genetics; Clinical Psychology; Cognitive Psychology; and Social Psychology).

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
This position includes teaching 4 courses (or their equivalent) each semester, departmental service, and active engagement in pedagogical initiatives within the department and across campus (e.g., https://www.colorado.edu/program/learningassistant/). The successful candidate will be prepared to teach a variety of neuroscience courses. Department priorities include the teaching of lower division introductory neuroscience courses, and upper division neuroscience courses dependent on experience and interests.
