Position Summary
The Department of Communicative Disorders invites applications for tenure-track associate or full professor.

Detailed Position Information
The Department of Communicative Disorders at The University of Alabama is searching for an associate or full tenure-track professor with teaching, clinical, and scholarship interests that include Fluency and any of the following: speech-science; cultural, linguistic & socioeconomic factors that influence communication and cognition; implicit bias; health disparities within communication sciences and disorders. The successful candidate will teach and conduct research relevant to their area of expertise, collaborate with clinical faculty to promote the provision of evidence-based practices, and have demonstrated a strong research record. Additionally, this position will be expected to participate in service-related activities as the department, college, university, state, and/or national level. Required minimum qualifications: PhD in Speech-Language Pathology or related field. ASHA certification/ABESPA license (or immediate eligibility to apply for out of state of applicants) is strongly preferred. Candidates with prestigious achievements in their field and exceptional national and international reputations will be eligible for consideration for significant endowment support through appointment as a Shelby Distinguished Professor https://provost.ua.edu/Shelby/.

A person with Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology is strongly preferred. Experience working within a university environment with students/faculty/staff and experience with fluency and fluency disorders is preferred. Minimum Qualifications
