National Corn to Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) is a nationally recognized research center dedicated to the development and commercialization of biofuels, specialty chemicals, and other renewable compounds. The Center’s fully functional dry grind pilot plant and laboratories are equipped with advanced biofuels capabilities including corn fractionation, pretreatment, and a fermentation suite with 5, 30, 150 and 1500L scale-up. Facilities are staffed by industry veterans with more than 150 years of collective experience in fermentation and biofuels production. This knowledgeable team has the flexibility and expertise to design and carry out projects in any region of the advanced biofuels or specialty chemicals space.
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the pilot plant, laboratories, and management divisions. Duties include, but are not limited to: bi-weekly and student payroll time entry into Banner System? track and maintain bi-weekly staff leave records? make purchases for administrative area, plant and labs using P-card? update and maintain Department Access financial database for account reconciling, prepare and submit purchase requisitions, prepare and submit APID forms to Accounts Payable? serve as front desk receptionist, when needed? assist with scheduling interviews for potential employees and student workers? other duties may be assigned.

2. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below:
A.) College coursework in any curriculum, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
B.) Work experience performing office/clerical activities, including the use of computer systems.
3. One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the second level of this series.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Banner system and AIS preferred.
