Applications are invited for a permanent post of a School Manager within UCD School of Social Policy Social Work and Social Justice .
The School Manager role in the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice is a challenging and complex one, reporting directly to the Head of School. The post holder is expected to provide professional and advisory support for the Head of School in strategic and financial planning, reporting, recruitment and in other management issues that arise. The School Manager oversees the effective delivery of the strategic and operational objectives of the school through a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, manages the school budget and maintains the quality of relationships with other units in the university. The School Manager ensures that provision is made for the enhancement of programmes and services and is a member of the School Executive Committee, as well as other School, College and University committees.

The School of Social Policy Social Work and Social Justice is a centre of excellence for research, teaching and professional training in these important social science discipline The School offers a wide range of programmes
which include: BSocSc degree; BSc Social Sciences, BCL (Law and Social Justice); MSocSc (Social Work) professional programme; Higher Diploma in Social Policy, MSc and Graduate Diploma in Equality Studies; MA and
Graduate Diploma in Gender Studies, MSc and PhD programmes by research in social policy, social work and social justice ; postgraduate Professional Certificate in Social Justice and certificates in the area of community approaches to drugs and addiction Issues. Outreach programmes are situated in Gender Studies and the wider School also
contributes to the Master of Public Policy Programme in the College of Social Sciences and Law. The School is the largest provider of professional masters level social work training in the state and maintains external relationships with professional organisations and accrediting bodies. Additionally, it has an active research and publishing profile
in a wide range of areas in social policy, social work and social justice and hosts three research centres: Equality Studies, Japanese Studies and the centre for Gender Feminisms and Sexualities.
95 Admin Off Ia\2013 (2010) (7080) Salary Scale: €65,388 - €76,409 Per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
