Educational and Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Five years of experience in a higher education field.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of assessments and academic support with the oversight of the College of Criminal Justice (COCJ) Senior Associate Dean. Performs highly complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning in the COCJ Student and Faculty Support.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directs and evaluates assessment and academic program activities of staff in the College of Criminal Justice (COCJ) Student and Faculty Support department including budget expenditures. Oversees and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Develops, supports, interprets, implements and monitors assessment efforts and data collection within COCJ to provide insights to enhance comprehensive college level initiatives, maintain program effectiveness, and support student and faculty outcomes through continuous process improvement. Develops, analyzes, and interprets reporting within various timelines to the COCJ leadership team in reference to academic trends. Stays abreast of academic trends, advancements, policies, and procedures to drive academic growth. Prepares annual internal and external reports. Serves as a COCJ liaison to the university assessment office and advising center and serves on committees in support of COCJ academic initiatives and programs. Monitors degree list and enrollment initiatives. Provides direction and oversight to academic support staff to assist academic staff and departments including interpretation of university and COCJ policies and procedures. Oversees graduate advising from pre-screening to graduation. Responsible for creation of student pipeline from undergraduate to graduate school. Expands graduate programming to grow graduate presence. Performs other related duties as assigned.
