Air University is a federal degree-granting institution that provides the full spectrum of education, including undergraduate and graduate programs in specialized military disciplines, progressive career-long professional military education, professional continuing education, and professional development programs.

Air University's Air Command and Staff College invites applications for Professor of Military and Security Studies. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in security studies, the ability to develop an interdisciplinary skill set, and experience teaching at the professional level. Subfields of interest include operational design, joint planning, technology, economics, cybersecurity, military adaptation, and Chinese security policy. 

Primary responsibilities include teaching, developing curriculum, and developing interdisciplinary expertise, including knowledge of warfighting strategy and operations. Other responsibilities include teaching electives in the applicant's area(s) of specialization, grading student work, advising student research, conducting research and outreach of value to the airpower and security communities of interest, and service to the institution. Teaching duties approximate a 2/2 teaching load per academic year.
