Reporting to the Senior Director for Housing Administration, the Director of Innovation, Strategy, and Systems is responsible for leading a team of software developers and support staff in the area of housing systems and technology in support of the University Housing and Residential Life Department. This role contributes to a positive university experience for every student and is accountable to all Division of Student Affairs (DoSA) values. Primary responsibilities include working with functional and Computer Services stakeholders to understand business goals and requirements in order to support the department's information technology needs. Managing a staff of IT and Housing Operational professionals, the incumbent will be responsible for managing multiple projects, developing and supporting management within established business processes and rules, managing the development, testing, and support throughout the development and support lifecycle for all IT projects, managing the desktop support group, making hardware and software recommendations and making recommendations for systems, data reliability, and security management.***Cover letter required***Required Education and Experience*Bachelor's degree*At least five years of related experience*Experience managing, mentoring, and developing staff. *Experience developing integrated best practice technical solutions. *An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities* Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, oversee, and manage multiple projects.* Demonstrated ability to analyze and identify specific business problems and determine the appropriate technology solutions needed to design/build robust standalone or integrated applications, interfaces, programs, and functions. * Ability to comply with change management procedures and work with other IT and functional departments to ensure security, database, and networking standards are maintained. * Ability to regularly communicate and maintain effective working relationships with peers, clients, and members of the university community. * Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical/support resource and contribute expertise to develop a body of knowledge within and between project teams. * Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team and ensure projects are completed within specified time frames. * Demonstrated customer service focus. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred* Experience with Star Rez Housing System. * Experience with Ellucian's Banner or other ERP systems.
