The Chair's Office Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Chair, the Chair's Office Manager, and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
The incumbent is required to possess knowledge about the issues and priorities of the department, as well as an understanding of the relationships of the department to Chair, faculty, staff, students, and alumni; along with a general knowledge of the campus as a whole.
The incumbent represents the Chair's Office to many constituencies, fostering and maintaining cordial relationships with them. He/she is responsible for coordinating administrative operations for the Chair's Office as well as conferences, seminars, events, and other departmental communication programs.
