Job Details
The mission of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine is to educate dentists and improve the oral health of the region through patient care, research/scholarship and service. Currently, the School of Dental Medicine is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Dean and Executive Director for Administration, Finance and Operations.
This position is responsible for the administrative, personnel, fiscal and support services at all three campuses of the School of Dental Medicine. This role supervises the staff of those areas as well as carry out a wide range of executive and administrative responsibilities including the design, development and implementation of procedures, development of organizational structure, acquisition and training of staff, and institution of controls to carry out the specific elements of the functional responsibility.
The Assistant Dean develops administrative, business policies, direction, goals and action for the School of Dental Medicine

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, or similar field directly related to the position
-Minimum of five years of direct experience with complex budgets, financial analysis and reporting
-Minimum of five years of direct experience overseeing at least two of the following functions in an organization: operations, personnel, computer technology, facility management, support services, organizational structure and design. (may run concurrent with five years of experience above)
-Minimum of five years experience supervising employees
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
