The Department of History invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the history of Native Americans. The areas of specialization and chronologies are open. The successful candidate will be expected to work with the department’s undergraduate and graduate students, supervise PhD candidates, participate in FSU’s Native American and Indigenous Studies Center, and teach two courses a semester.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization required by the start of the appointment in Fall 2024 with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. PhD must be in hand by the start of the appointment.
