The Division of Enrollment Management (EM) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Internal Communications Coordinator position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.

The Position:
This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibility.
The Internal Communications Coordinator is responsible for the creation, planning, implementation, assessment, and monitoring of various internal communication channels and platforms. This position responds to correspondences on behalf of VP of EM, develops division-wide internal communications, and develops presentations on behalf of VP for University executive and board meetings. The Internal Communications Coordinator collaborates on creating proactive internal materials and messages from a variety of stakeholders across campus.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
• 4 years of progressive experience as a communications specialist with proven experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, or public relations preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Demonstrated writing, editing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop internal communication strategies.
• Organizational skills sufficient to plan and manage multiple, time-sensitive internal communications projects.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Meets deadlines.
• Represents the university in a professional manner.
• Interacts well with campus partners, office staff, and UT administrators.
• Provides and is receptive to feedback and constructive criticism.
• Works independently and in a group setting.
• Desire to protect and promote the university's reputation.
The Division
The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 190 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics. The Office of Enrollment Management is committed to our Vision, Mission and Values.
