The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) invites applications for the Panos Family Endowed Chair (Tenured Full professor) position beginning in Fall 2024. Candidates must be internationally renowned leaders in a sub-discipline within mechanical engineering with demonstrated success in research, teaching and service. All contemporary topics in mechanical engineering are of interest. Successful candidates must hold an earned doctorate in an appropriately related field.
The department is home to 30 full-time faculty, ~90 doctoral students, ~150 master students, and ~1,000 undergraduate students. Information about the department is available at www.me.uh.edu.
