Instruction and evaluation; student advising; committee assignments; faculty meetings; consultation; in-service programs; preparation for teaching; professional and scholarly development; research; performs other appropriate duties as assigned and as necessary; adheres to and complies with all relevant federal, state and local laws; if assigned a State purchasing card, abides by all purchasing rules and provisions and reports/balances account as required or directed; adheres to all institutional policies and guidelines, including the provisions of the employee's relevant employee handbook; adheres to and complies with relevant provisions of the WV State Ethics Act; adheres to all safety rules and provisions; reports any personal accidents/injuries or accidents/injuries of assigned staff to HR by end of work day or work shift; and completes all required performance evaluations timely, completely and
accurately. 

Examples Of Duties

• Teach anatomy and physiology lecture and lab, human biology lecture and lab, and general biology lecture and lab courses as assigned
• Complete assessment on each of the courses taught
• Attends faculty meetings and in-service programs
• Serves on school and college-wide committees
• Participates in recruitment and retention of students
• Serves as an effective academic advisor
• Maintains scheduled office and classroom hours
• Exhibits professional and scholarly growth
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Health Sciences

Additional Information

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in anatomy and physiology or related field required. Doctorate preferred.
