Job Summary:

The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP: Advanced Practice Provider) interested in a career as a clinician, practicing and teaching general internal medicine in a patient-centered medical home.

The APP will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician/educator/scholar. APPs are encouraged to collaborate with other faculty in clinical research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
    Provide primary care for patients at a University of Colorado Hospital Internal Medicine Clinic for the following appointment types: new, continuity, hospital/ED follow-up, acute, and annual/wellness exams. Provide care for their empaneled patients as well as acute care for teammate's patients as needed. Share responsibilities for night, week-end, and vacation coverage with other members of the group practice. There may be opportunities to serve as a preceptor for APP students.

Onsite - This role is expected to work onsite and is located in the Denver Metro area.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    NP or PA degree Two or more years of experience in a primary care setting

Preferred Qualifications:
    Three or more years of experience in a primary care setting Current State of Colorado License by the employment start date Current DEA by employment start date

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this faculty Instructor level position has been established as:

$102,211 to $124,051 (this range would be prorated for any fractional FTE)

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
