Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Office Manager within SIRC, Office of the Chief Risk Officer.


The Office of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) is a Unit within University College Dublin responsible for the following functions -



  • Enterprise Risk Management

  • Compliance

  • Health and Safety

  • Insurance

  • Subsidiary Company Governance


Under the direction of the Chief Risk Officer or their nominee the Office Manager will be a key member of the Unit, managing the day to day administration of the office and contributing to the overall efficient operations of same.


The post holder will provide high level support to the wider teams across the Office of the Chief Risk Officer and ensure that the office functions efficiently and that stakeholders' needs are addressed.


The post holder will be required to regularly collaborate with academic, research and support units across the University.


As well as being required to work as part of a team, the post holder must have the ability to work independently. They will be expected to achieve operational excellence, foster collaborative working relationships and meet exacting standards. The post holder will provide a customer focused, high quality service as part of their role.


The successful candidate will engage in a range of duties and responsibilities as part of their office management role that are reflective of the wide portfolio managed by the Unit. These include but are not limited to dealing with day to day queries and redirecting within the wider team as necessary, providing advice to the wider university community where appropriate, managing the university travel insurance programme, maintaining databases and records management systems (including handling confidential information), overseeing the software systems used within the office, liaising with insurers, representing the office on UCD committees, maintaining the office websites, managing all aspects of Data Compliance within the Office of the Chief Risk Officer, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies, and any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Risk Officer or their nominee


Note that inhouse training will be provided in the various areas managed by the Office of the Chief Risk Officer as necessary and the appointee will also be expected to undertake further professional development where appropriate to support office operations and to utilise any learnings obtained from said training.

95 Admin Officer Ii\2010 (0173\X) Salary Scale: €47,109 - €60,335 Per Annum.


Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
