he Department of Recreational Sports provides competitive and recreational opportunities for students, faculty, staff and campus affiliated community members. In addition to the 33 sports clubs, the department offers a wide range of recreational activities and state of the art equipment.
Cal Recreational Sports is dedicated to enhancing the knowledge, wellness, fitness and quality of life for students, faculty, staff and the community. In addition to the 27 sport clubs and 600 intramural sports teams, the department offers a wide range of recreational activities and state of the art equipment, including a complete package of fitness activities, from individual and group classes to massage therapy and personal training.

- Provides activity instruction to program participants, individually or in groups, in person or virtually.
- Maintains a supportive environment for program participants and facilitates involvement.
- Interacts with recreational program participants in a positive manner.
- Broadens knowledge of teaching methods, techniques and skills through continuing education.
- Participates in required professional development activities.
- Perform administrative duties that may include virtual class hosting or assistance with program operations.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $18.07 - $52.00.
