Job Summary
The TSYS School of Computer Science at Columbus State University invites applications for a non-tenure track, faculty position in Cybersecurity. Applicants with interests in any field of Cybersecurity are encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Starting date is January 2, 2024. This is a twelve-month position which includes teaching in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Developing and delivering quality instruction.; Maintaining currency in teaching field.; Recruiting and mentoring students.; Collaborating on teams to secure and deliver grants.; Cultivating partnerships with industry.; Engage in practices that support the University's focus on student engagement, problem solving, and active learning.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications include: Recent industry experience in Cybersecurity.; Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications include: Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a closely related field.; Industry Certifications including CISSP or CISM, CISA or CRISC, CySA, CEH, PenTest+ or related, Security+, Network+, IT Fundamentals+, A+.; Prior teaching experience (face-to-face, hybrid, online).; Experience with active and experiential learning methodologies.
Proposed Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
