The Department of Computer Science (https://www.cs.miami.edu) in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami invites applications for a tenure-track or tenure eligible faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor - Professor. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline by the beginning of the appointment, August 15, 2024. Successful candidates must have a proven record of excellence in research in data science or software technologies and its applications to digital health. Examples of software technologies of particular interest are block chain and cyber-physical systems. Areas of digital health of particular interest are automated diagnostics, virtual health care, medical records, and smart devices. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an internationally recognized research program; to participate in the teaching mission of the department including curriculum development, lecturing, and advising; and to oversee a robust program for student research. Where appropriate, the faculty member may be offered a joint position in the Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC; https://www.idsc.miami.edu).
