The Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University invites applications for an open-rank term instructional faculty position in organization development, beginning Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be a strong scholar-practitioner with a Ph.D. in one of the following or related fields: organizational theory, organization development, knowledge management, digital transformation, organization behavior, human resource development, and talent management.
Applicants should have a strong background in executive education and experiential learning-oriented teaching of adult learners. The successful candidate will teach various courses in the the Organization Development and Knowledge Management (ODKM) master’s degree and related undergraduate and graduate programs at the Schar School.

Responsibilities:

This part time (0.75 FTE) position will have a 2:2 course load. The selected candidate will be expected to play an active role in helping recruit adult learners for the MS in ODKM, a cohort program for working professionals. Required Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have earned a PhD in one of the following or related fields: organization behavior, organization development, knowledge management, digital transformation, or human resource management; and
  • Applicant must show evidence of teaching full time working professionals, both in-person and virtual learning environment.
