Join the vibrant and innovative team at The Johns Hopkins Children's Center Dedicated Preceptor Team (DPPT)! As a preceptor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing by working with up to two orientees per shift, utilizing the dynamic Pediatric Tiered Skills Acquisition Model (Pediatric TSAM) to develop their competency. In just 12 weeks, you will witness the transformation of each orientee as they graduate to their home unit, fully equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to excel. Collaborating closely with the Director of Pediatric Nursing Programs, pediatric nursing educators, and clinical nurse specialist, you will have a direct impact on evaluating the orientee's progression and refining the comprehensive onboarding plan. Who Should Apply:
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN work experience in a pediatrics required
