School of Nursing & Health Sciences

Job Summary

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks dynamic for a faculty position in the Exercise Science track of the Health Sciences program. This is an academic year (10-month contract) with a tenure-track appointment. The contract is expected to begin January 1st, 2024.


Responsibilities -
-Teach 12 credit hours per semester in the Exercise Science and Health Promotion tracks of the Health Science program, with some online instruction required
-Develop and update curriculum and course content
-Maintain campus office hours, prepare lesson plans, course syllabi, lectures, other course materials such as quizzes and exams, submit grades and attendance reports, and maintain a commitment to high impact practices
-Supervise health science students in laboratory and internship settings
-Maintain lab environment including equipment updates, purchases, and repair
-Participate in assessment and scholarship activities
-Conduct academic advisement and career counseling
-Travel to site locations

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
-Doctoral degree in Exercise Science or related field (or be ABD)

Required Experience
-Recent teaching or clinical practice experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification
