Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Student Services, the Dean of Enrollment & Student Financial Services provides leadership, development and evaluation in the areas of Admissions & High School Programs, Financial Aid & Veterans Services, Registration & Enrollment Services, and the Welcome Desk. Assists the Vice President of Student Services in the development and coordination of the college’s Achieve the Dream initiatives, to include coordinating early alert initiatives as part of the first-year experience, and leveraging technology and creative community partnerships to meet these objectives. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits eligible position.
Salary & Benefits
- Full Salary Range: $88,837 - $133,255/annually - depending on education and experience
- Anticipated Hiring Range: $88,837 - $111,046/annually - depending on education and experience
- Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $5,640 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay
- Paid Holidays: 21 (including a full week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day and over Spring Break)
- Vacation & Sick Leave: Approximately 17 paid vacation days & 9 paid sick leave days accrued annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as the College Registrar and FERPA Officer. Maintaining the academic records of the institution, including both institutional databases and document imaging systems, in accordance with institutional, state and national standards.
- Leads and administers quality service and processes including, but not limited to, student registration, records functions, grade reporting, academic progression, transcript services, degree audit, support for course scheduling, graduation, evaluation of transfer credit, student enrollment verifications and certifications, and residency/tuition classification.
- Leads effectively by establishing goals and tactics that align with and support the College’s strategic plan and executive priorities.
- Identifies areas for growth and improvement within areas of responsibility by staying current with research, best practices, and by continually evaluating internal practices and changes in the environment and student needs.
- Ensures that goals, tactics, improvement plans, program reviews, and HLC activities are implemented in a timely and consistent manner and allocates necessary human and fiscal resources to do so.
- Responsible for hiring and training direct reports and for providing ongoing training, development, and support of these individuals and, indirectly, to their staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations and carries out corrective actions when necessary.
- Works closely with Human Resources in advertising, hiring, onboarding, training, and managing personnel.
- Responsible for management and appropriate use of all funds to include developing, monitoring, and approving budgetary expenditures.
- Complies with college, state, and federal requirements in purchasing and other fund expenditures. Provides or arranges for budget and finance training for direct reports.
- Works with CCC Foundation, CCC Grants Office, and other relevant groups to seek out additional funding sources to assist with expanding services and support to students.
- Collaborates with direct reports to manage the full range of responsible areas and services – including Admissions & High School Programs, Financial Aid & Veteran Services, Registration & Enrollment Services, and the Welcome Desk.
- Develops and facilitates programs and services for the recruitment, retention, and completion and/or transfer of a culturally and socioeconomically diverse student population, including management of ongoing relationships in the designated school districts and other educational institutions.
- Identifies, coordinates, and supervises computer systems, programs, and functions used in admissions, records, attendance, catalogs, course schedules, financial aid, and veteran services. Provides leadership in new and emerging technologies.
- Develops and facilitates programs and services for the recruitment, retention, and completion and/or transfer of a culturally and socioeconomically diverse student population, including management of ongoing relationships in the designated school districts and other educational institutions.
- Develops, assesses, and implements annual goals and objectives for promoting programs and services.
- Serves as a liaison with internal and external departments, groups, agencies, and individuals to maintain partnerships and share information.
- Serves as a member of the Strategic Enrollment Management team, assisting in the development of an overall campus-wide plan to reach optimal enrollment levels.
- Responsible for timely publishing and updates of all publications overseen by areas of responsibility, including but not limited to college catalog, semester schedules, department web pages, and federal compliance postings and related notifications.
- Communicates needs for areas of responsibility in a complete and timely way and informs staff in those areas of things happening in other parts of the College and external environments that are relevant to their work.
- Works directly with the Executive Director of Human Resources and the Vice President of Student Services to ensure that all students and area employees are fully included and provided with a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment at the College.
- Helps to cultivate work and learning environments that encourage and support diversity; assists with identifying and rectifying areas where the College is lacking in multiculturalism or minority support. Takes a leadership role in the college’s inclusivity efforts.
- Interprets laws and regulations. Advises other departments, College administration, or the District Governing Board regarding state and federal regulations. Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and policy and procedure.
- Accurately reports enrollments, completions, and other data to institutional, state, and federal stakeholders and to the National Student Clearinghouse in cooperation with Institutional Research and Financial Aid.
- Ensures adherence to ethical handling of all financial matters, advances the College’s core values and strategic plan. Upholds outstanding customer service for internal and external customers.
- Ensures that mandatory training provided by Human Resources, Information Technology, and as required by the college are completed by all employees for areas of responsibility.
- Represents the College on relevant college, local, statewide, and national committees and boards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Effective communication via multiple modalities with individuals and in group settings.
- Ability to work in a collegial manner with all College constituents and external groups.
- Representing the College at various meetings, events, and conferences throughout the state.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, and Student Personnel or related degree from an accredited institution.
- Five years of increasingly responsible experience administering, developing, implementing, and evaluating financial aid and/or admissions and records.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full-time administrative experience in a community college.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner administrative system
- Doctorate in related field.
