Basic Function:

The Graphic and Media Specialist will support the Eisner Center and the departments of theatre, music, and dance though creative work in graphic design, including coordinating with faculty and staff on design concepts and creating graphic packages for multiple platforms. Create short-form video work for use in university recruitment and departmental marketing. Collaborate and coordinate with Eisner staff on video/graphics needs for marketing and Eisner-wide projects.

Essential Job Functions:

Conceptualize, plan, and execute the graphics packages for the Eisner Center for the Performing Arts and the departments of theatre, dance, and music, including print posters, brochures, digital graphics for use in ticketing and online promotion.
Adhere to the Denison branding guidelines, while creating unique visual approaches which support the creative nature of the performing arts departments at Denison.
Plan and maintain a schedule which allows for publicizing in a cohesive manner from the season brochure, to auditions flyers, to performance posters.
Design and oversee production of the Eisner Center season brochure, the Theatre and Dance Department programs, and complex Music Department performances, including TUTTI festival Program.
Develop, film, and edit short-form videos for use as promotional material on social media, and as a recruitment tool for admissions, including “trailers” for major departmental performances or student features.
Organize and shoot photos as needed for use in publicity and design work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong Knowledge of the Adobe Create Suite along with video and photo editing skills.
Possess a strong aesthetic sense with in-depth knowledge of color, layout, typography, branding, print production and printing process
The ability to collaborate with Faculty and staff across departments with tight turnarounds and to prioritize projects with competing time lines.
Experience in print production, working with vendors, and overseeing the full production process.
Experience in crafting engaging visuals for use across social media.
3-5 years experience in freelance graphic design or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in graphic design and photography for the performing arts
