The Provost serves as Florida Tech’s chief academic officer with responsibility for the university’s academic and research missions. Required qualifications include: a doctorate or appropriate terminal degree; STEM-related field preferred; a distinction as a scholar and educator meriting tenured appointment at the rank of full professor in a discipline offered by Florida Tech; substantial administrative experience in higher education administration at a research-intensive institution; thorough understanding of the current issues facing higher education; and demonstrated ability to manage a complex academic organization, work effectively with diverse constituencies and manage change.
