Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs (Provost).

With the recent appointment of Florida Tech’s sixth president, John Nicklow, Ph.D., there is a sense of excitement on campus, and the institution is poised to move forward in transformational ways with new leadership and high motivation. The Provost serves as Florida Tech’s chief academic officer with responsibility for the university’s academic and research missions. Required qualifications include: a doctorate or appropriate terminal degree; STEM-related field preferred; a distinction as a scholar and educator meriting tenured appointment at the rank of full professor in a discipline offered by Florida Tech; substantial administrative experience in higher education administration at a research-intensive institution; thorough understanding of the current issues facing higher education; and demonstrated ability to manage a complex academic organization, work effectively with diverse constituencies and manage change.
