Position Summary: The Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the Villanova School of Business is seeking applications for a tenure-track position. Our primary recruiting is at the rank of Assistant Professor; however, if your current rank is higher than Assistant Professor, then the candidate can apply for a rank commensurate to their current rank. This faculty member will primarily teach classes in tax at the undergraduate and graduate level but may also be asked to teach outside of tax. The faculty member is expected to publish high quality research in any area of accounting although a preference will be given to those publishing in taxation. This person will report to the Chair of the Accounting and Information Systems Department and will begin in Fall 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities: Teach classes in both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Be willing to incorporate data, analytics, and technology into the classroom. Publish high quality research in any area of accounting primarily targeting top peer-reviewed academic journals. We offer competitive teaching loads associated with research output. Perform service commensurate with the hiring level including outreach with the major accounting firms.
Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. with teaching in tax, potential to publish in high quality journals, and willingness to work in a collegial environment.
Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. with teaching in tax and other areas of accounting with an ability to integrate data, analytics, and technology into the classroom. CPA plus related work experience. Someone that can work with other faculty and contribute to a collegial environment.
