Job Details
The College of Business at Texas A&M University-San Antonio invites applications from qualified candidates for a part-time, non-tenure-track adjunct faculty position in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing for the Fall 2023 semester, mainly for in-person teaching. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to share your expertise in these dynamic and rapidly evolving fields with undergraduate students. The successful candidate will contribute to the education of future marketing professionals while gaining valuable teaching experience in a dynamic academic environment.
Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing, providing students with practical and theoretical knowledge in these areas.
Deliver engaging and informative lectures, facilitate discussions, and conduct interactive class activities to enhance student learning.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of students.
Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and mentoring to support their academic growth.
Utilize mainly traditional face-to-face education methods (experience in online teaching is a plus, but not needed at this moment)
Demonstrate expertise and industry experience in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing, with a track record of successful campaigns or projects.
Education and Experience:
Masters Degree from an accredited university.
Possess a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, or a closely related field.
Previous university-level teaching experience is preferred, showcasing your ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and engage students in the subject matter.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively with non- traditional populations.
Comfortable with on-site, face-to-face availability for teaching classes, ensuring an interactive and enriching learning experience.

Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, three original letters of recommendation and official transcripts from each degree-granting institution must be received directly by the College of Business. E-scripts and E-recommendations will be considered IF emailed directly to the department chair. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective applicant to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
