A&S Clinical Assistant Professor (Psychology)

The Department of Psychology at the University of Miami invites applications for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (12-month educator faculty, non-tenure track) who will serve as the Associate Director of the Psychological Services Center (PSC), the internal training clinic for doctoral students in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program, which has been accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1966 and a founding member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science (APCS).

Responsibilities / Qualifications

The individual hired in this position will be expected to (1) provide clinical supervision to practicum students in their conduct of psychological evaluations, (2) teach/co-teach courses, (3) provide administrative oversight and management for the PSC, and (4) and to foster relationships with our highly diverse community to continue to develop new programs and training opportunities for students. Individuals with clinical experience and expertise in psychoeducational, neuropsychological, gifted/IQ, personality (e.g., PAI, MMPI), and other objective assessments, as well as with individuals across the lifespan (i.e., children, adolescents, and adults) are highly desirable. Individuals who can also supervise evidence-based child/family/couple therapy and/or services in Spanish (or another language) are encouraged to apply. Compensation for the 12-month appointment is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Opportunities to provide direct clinical services through the PSC may be available.

Application

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an APA-accredited clinical science or scientist-practitioner program and be licensed or license-eligible to practice in the State of Florida by the appointment start date (i.e., expected August 1, 2024).
