ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates are expected to develop research programs that are internationally recognized with significant and sustained funding, incorporate interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers across campus, and demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and excellence in education. Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral researchers, and participating in college and professional service are expected.
QualificationsCandidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in industrial engineering, computer science, statistics, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline, and demonstrate documented potential for outstanding research. Areas of particular interest include Physics-Informed Machine Learning, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence, supporting Advanced Manufacturing and Scientific Discovery. Candidates with strong backgrounds in data science with applications to other areas are also considered.
