Type: Full-Time Position

Salary Range: $50,000-55,000 annually, commensurate with experience

About Us:

ETCleanFuels is a nonprofit organization affiliated with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, operating under the Institute for a Secure and Sustainable Environment. We are committed to promoting the adoption of cleaner American fuels, energy-efficient transportation technologies, and reducing dependence on imported petroleum. We're the driving force behind the Drive Electric Tennessee (DET) initiative, with an ambitious aim to have 200,000 electric vehicles on Tennessee's roads by 2028.

Role Overview:

As the DET Coordinator, your role will be multifaceted, primarily involving stakeholder management, project coordination for DET-related initiatives, and community outreach. You will work closely with vehicle fleets, individual owners, fuel providers, and various organizations to foster partnerships and implement alternative fuels throughout Tennessee.



Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage communication strategies, including social media content, press releases, electronic communications, and event announcements
  • Engage potential stakeholders through active outreach, building membership, and fostering relationships
  • Organize and facilitate communications, webinars, and in-person events for DET stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage ongoing DET Working Group projects, ensuring all team members adhere to timelines and project milestones
  • Track the progress of Working Group projects and plan future communication efforts
Qualifications:

Required:

  • An Associate’s Degree in a relevant field with 1+ years of experience or equivalent experience of four years in relevant work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Strong skills in oral, written, and interpersonal communication, networking, and team-building
  • Familiarity with social media platforms

Preferred:

  •  A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of experience
  • Experience in nonprofit/small-business management, fundraising, financial management, and marketing
  • Familiarity with WordPress content management system, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Background in electric vehicles and related technologies
