The Hennepin-University Partnership (HUP) is a nationally recognized, jointly funded collaboration between Hennepin County & the University of Minnesota. HUP catalyzes and supports mutually beneficial partnerships that create positive community change. HUP is a program of the University’s Center of Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA).
The HUP director formulates and executes HUP strategy and objectives, guided by a deep understanding of the politics, policies, and strategies of the University and Hennepin County. The director draws on vision, influence, tact, and project management skills to effectively build collaborations, manage relationships, and ensure the sustainability of partnerships.
HUP responds to numerous partnership requests annually, and works proactively in three areas:
- Student Research & Evaluation
- Information Sharing
- Strategic Research
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS, 8+ years of experience, & prior oversight of a department or cross-disciplinary team
- Experience related to organizational or program operations • Experience building and supporting cross-functional or organizational collaborations
Salary Dependent upon experience and qualifications; salary range $84,015 - $120,000
