Job Details

The University of Denver (DU) invites nominations and applications for the position of Senior Vice Chancellor for Operations and Strategy Implementation (SVC for OSI). This individual functions as the Chief Operating Officer for the University and a key member of the Chancellors Cabinet, working closely with leadership to develop operational policies that deliver the resources, services, and facilities necessary for the continued advancement of the University of Denver. This position will serve as a key partner to the Chancellor in executing strategic initiatives established by the board, including the Chancellors Five Strategic Imperatives, as well as overseeing the annual plan of work for the Cabinet. The SVC for OSI is tasked with advancing strategic planning into operational reality.

Founded in 1864, the University of Denver (DU) is a private, doctoral-granting university with very high research activity, earning R1 status in 2022. DU enrolls approximately 6,100 undergraduate students and 7,500 graduate students. The University has become increasingly known, nationally and internationally, for its creative, 21st-century approaches to problem-based scholarship, as well as its holistic, student-centered approach to learning known as the 4D Experience, and its dedication to the public good through local, national, and international partnerships.

The SVC for OSI will oversee a considerable portfolio of responsibilities including leadership, strategy, supervision, operations, and comprehensive assessment. The SVC for OSI will serve as a thought partner to the Chancellor in developing and implementing operational policy in direct support of DUs mission.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $350,000 - $475,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
