SummaryThis position is to support the Tissue Distribution Program (TDP) in the Unit of Collaborative Research in the Division of Veterinary Medicine at the Tulane National Primate Research Center. The primary focus of this position will be to coordinate tissue collections and retrieval from the Necropsy Core, Veterinary Medicine Core, and tissue archives for the distribution to intramural and extramural scientists upon request, and maintaining and coordinating the sample requests that come through the National NHP Biomaterials Query System (BQS). This position will be responsible for communicating, collating, and recording the requests; packaging and shipping samples as needed; and generating 1- and 5- year reports of tissue distributions. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining computer records, assisting with optimization of TDP SOPs, ordering and billing.
