The mission of the Department of Accounting is to advance the knowledge and ethical practice of accounting, and promote technical, professional, and personal skills to a diverse student body to excel in a technology-dependent global economy. We offer a full range of academic degree programs including Bachelor of Accounting (BBA), professional 150-hour program leading to a BS/MS in Accounting or Taxation, and a Ph.D. in Accounting. Our faculty exhibit expertise in a host of accounting disciplines, and the department is separately accredited by the AACSB, and endorsed by the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Institute of Management Accountants. UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
The Department of Accounting at the University of North Texas invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer position effective fall 2023. All fields within accounting will be considered, but we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in financial accounting, auditing including data analytics. Salary is competitive.
Candidates for this position must have demonstrated high-level classroom performance, significant professional experience, and at minimum a master’s degree in accounting or related field from an AACSB-accredited university, and appropriate professional qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:We are particularly interested in faculty members seeking to bring digital pedagogies into the classroom.
