Job Summary

Position Summary

ABAC¿s Department of Education and Wellness is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars who work together to offer courses in Education, Health, and Physical Education. We seek qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in Education, Health, and Physical Education. Part-time, temporary, adjunct faculty may instruct one or two courses a semester on an as-needed basis. Possible courses in Education include Critical and Contextual Issues in Education, and Exploring Learning and Teaching. Possible Health/Physical Education courses include Health and Wellness, Wellness & Human Experience, Tennis, Volleyball, Aerobics, Yoga, Weight Training, Jogging, Walking, Personal Conditioning, Water Aerobics, Recreational Games, Swimming, Golf, Badminton, Golf, Frisbee Sports, Country/Western Line Dancing, Soccer, or Bowling. Courses may be offered in a traditional face-to-face format or online depending upon the need. The Department of Education and Wellness offers courses both at ABAC¿s main site in Tifton and at the instructional site in Bainbridge. Applicants interested in teaching at either site are welcome to apply.

Applications should include a cover letter, CV/resume, a list of at least three professional references, and unofficial copies of graduate transcripts.

Required Qualifications:

Master¿s degree with a minimum of 18 credits of graduate coursework in either Education (to teach EDUC classes) or Health and Physical Education (to teach PHED classes).

Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of successful teaching of college-level coursework preferred.
