Description:

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific areas of transseptal puncture, complex ablation including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in structural heart disease, implantation of bi-ventricular pacemakers/ICDs. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Teaching responsibilities may include participation in discussions and didactic lectures during EP morning meeting as well as teaching medical students, residents and cardiology fellows that are rotating on the EP service.

Clinical responsibilities may include up to 3 ½ days of EP laboratory coverage at HUP and 1 day of outpatient hours per week.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical or basic research and is expected and will depend on the specific training and experience of the applicant. Scholarship is required in the clinician educator track. Active participation in fellows’ research activity is required.
