Coordinator of International Recruitment and Admissions
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Coordinator of International Recruitment and Admissions in the Center for Global Engagement.

Duties include, but are not limited to:· Serve as the primary international admissions contact, ensuring receipt of all required application materials for undergraduate international applications.· Provide consultation as needed in support of international graduate applications.· Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO).· Review all required documents from admitted international students at the undergraduate and graduate levels and issue initial Forms I-20 and DS-2019 needed for student visa applications and admission into the USA and demonstrate accuracy and consistency in the issuance and archiving of immigration documents.· Process transfer credit evaluations from transcripts from international institutions for international and domestic applicants.· Support international recruitment initiatives both domestically and abroad by attending in-person events, hosting webinars or presentations, maintaining contact with partners and counselors and traveling when appropriate.· Develop reports and interpret data in support of successful international recruitment and admissions activities, effective communication messaging, and annual assessment.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and at least one (1) year of relevant program experience is required. A valid driver’s license without restrictions and a passport with the ability to travel without exceptions are also required. A master’s degree in International Education, Higher Education, Communications, or a related field and at least two (2) years of experience in international admissions in a higher education setting and familiarity with international educational systems is preferred. Experience in the following is also preferred: evaluating international high school transcripts in accordance with AACRAO standards, English Proficiency Test Scores, reviewing course descriptions and assigning appropriate transfer credit, developing and using marketing materials in support of international student recruitment, working with international students and/or traveling outside of the USA with successful representation of a US institution of higher education, and familiarity with Datatel, Slate, and Perceptive . A successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident and is required to serve as the SEVP Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Officer.

Program Coordinator I (AH35/61122954/FTE-S00848P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $35,360.00 (minimum) – $50,394.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00am to 2:30pm. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of relevant program experience are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in International Education, Higher Education, Communications or other similar field.
  • Two or more years working in international admissions in a higher education setting and familiarity with international educational systems.
  • Experience evaluating international high schools transcripts in accordance with AACRAO standards, English Proficiency Test Scores, and reviewing course descriptions and assigning appropriate transfer credit as outlined by CCU university guidelines.
  • Experience in developing, using, and evaluating marketing materials in support of international student recruitment.
  • Experience working with international students and/or traveling outside the USA with successful representation of a US institution of higher education.
  • Experience using any or all of the following systems: Datatel, Slate and Perceptive.

Licensure and/or Certification:

  • Valid Driver’s License without restrictions and passport with ability to travel without exceptions
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required to serve as SEVP Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Officer

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to support effective presentations and information exchange with prospective and matriculating international students, parents, and institutional partners and to encourage effective coordination with on-campus and off-campus constituencies
  • Ability to deliver superior customer service to students, parents, and stakeholders
  • Ability to prepare and present detailed reports and studies
  • Ability to interpret institutional policies/plans/objectives and communicate interpretation to others to advance changes in process or policy where appropriate
  • Ability to work effectively with computer systems (MS Office Suite) and willingness to learn how to work with additional computer software systems as needed

Additional comments regarding this position:

May require some overnight travel outside the region and/or country to meet departmental needs.
