Overview:Quinnipiac University seeks applications for an Associate Head Coach, Field Hockey. In this role, you will assist and lead in administering all phases of Field Hockey and team management with an emphasis on player development, recruit coordination, player film and scout review, attacking or other position-specific expertise, and equipment management.About Quinnipiac:Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston.   • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA and Big East Conference rules and regulations
  • Spearhead the team’s recruiting vision including organization of unofficial and official visit, recruit correspondence and evaluation of prospective student-athletes
  • Assist with player and team development to include: player individual coached sessions, player video review, practice and game development, pre-game and post-game break down, scouting for opponents and tactical adjustments with the greatest emphasis placed on attackers and midfielders.
  • Work in conjunction with the Head Field Hockey Coach in daily practice planning with an emphasis on pressing formations, attacking plans, attack penalty corners and forward-specific player development.
  • Supervise the assistant coach, work study students and team managers.
  • Maintain the team’s equipment budget and ordering needs
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of elite level field hockey experience
  • Level 2 Coaching Certification from USA Field Hockey required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Updated, valid passport for recruiting travel required
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Experience using GoogleDrive, DropBox and most social media platforms
  • Adept knowledge of uploading and downloading film for exchange, scouting and team viewing; knowledge of Sportcode, Gamebreaker Plus, Hudl, Spiideo video software, Power Point and iMovie preparation
  • Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practices 5-6 days a week
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work nights and weekends and travel when required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
