Reporting to the Director of Payroll, you will assist the Director with all university payroll operations.

- Accurate processing of semi-monthly, biweekly, part-time faculty and miscellaneous payrolls
- Interact with internal and external customers to resolve payroll related matters
- Interact with HR partners, finance and other departments as needed to provide necessary payroll information
- Balancing payroll records to federal and state payroll tax returns and preparation of federal and state reports on an as needed basis
- Preparation of month end payroll reports, including but not limited to payroll and overtime variance reports
- Prepare ad hoc reports as requested
- Stay up to date on payroll regulations and legislature, have a thorough working knowledge of University bargaining unit contracts and university policies
- Applies acquired knowledge to assist with payroll inquiries outside the scope of the day-to-day processing, inclusive of relocation, FLSA laws, reaching DOL regulations and interpretations of the current ordinances, and employer level taxation
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
