Building Services Foreman - Facility Services (Multiple Positions Available)

Regular, Full-time - Market Range 06

The University of Tennessee, Facilities Services Department of Custodial Operations is accepting applications for a Building Services Foreman. The department provides services to Academic and Athletic Facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The person in this position coordinates, supervises and participates in the care, cleaning and general housekeeping of assigned areas as well as making sure adequate supplies are in inventory.  The person awarded this position, will have the responsibility of making work assignments, reviewing the work of designated personnel, and assisting with the training of new personnel.

    Computer savvy: Word, Excel, campus, email, and Microsoft.Ability to climb ladders.Ability to read, and follow oral and written instructionsAbility to operate power equipment: scrubbers, buffers, extractors, etc.Ability to accurately evaluate building cleanliness, efficient personnel use, and employee performance.Ability to direct employees. 


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Valid Tennessee Driver’s License

5 years of custodial experience with 1 year of supervisory experience

Applicant should be clean and neat in appearance.  This position requires physical work. 

 

Applicant must be willing to participate in the FS Facilitating Successful Leaders program; a 6-month probationary period that provides the employee with clearly defined expectations and supervisory feedback that is designed to develop and support successful leaders within Facilities Services.
